Yep, We're Pretty Much Cursed This Year

Elaborating on Casey's post earlier, here's an updated look at Arsenal's squad going into tomorrow's Champions League tie in Portugal, with my guesses, of course, in italics:

Fabianski
Sagna - Campbell - Vermaelen - Clichy
Fabregas - Denilson - Diaby
Nasri - Bendtner - Rosicky

Subs from: Mannone, Silvestre, Traore, Eboue, Ramsey, Vela, Walcott
Out: Almunia (finger), Song (knee), Gallas (calf), Arshavin (hamstring), Eduardo (hamstring), Merida (ankle), Gibbs (foot), Van Persie (ankle), Djourou (knee)

Casey brings up a great point: Almunia's absence will prove that either his time is past or that he's the best we've got. Let's bear in mind that Fabianski isn't any more decisive than the Spainiard and hasn't exactly covered himself in glory in big games past. Vito Mannone is probably too inexperienced to take the reins now, at least in huge games, and Arsenal's supposed star goalie of the future, Wojciech Szczesny, is on loan at Brentford for the rest of the season.

Little else to talk about news-wise, so we're probably going to bounce around this topic a ton today.
